The JTPC is a developmental program designed to help young tournament players build their confidence and move up to the next level.
The following are my 3 levels of a Junior Tournament Golfer:
Level 1 – practices and/or plays golf once a week. Has played some tournament golf, usually in the summer months, in JC Junior Tour, San Diego Junior Golf Association or North County Junior Golf Association events.
Level 2 – practices and/or plays golf 3-5 days a week. Plays golf tournaments year-round in SDJGA, SCPGA or FCGA events. Can break 45 for 9 holes at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course from the Silver Tees.
Level 3 – Advanced player – practices and/or plays golf every day. Plays tournament golf year-round in SDJGA, FCGA, SCPGA, AJGA or USGA events. Can break par for 9 holes at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course from the Silver Tees.
Every player will receive a TGM logo golf hat that will show which level they are currently and a TGM logo golf book to keep track of their stats on the golf course and keep practice notes.
Group classes are conducted every Tuesday thru Saturday in the afternoons (times based on Daylight Savings Time). Cost is $20 per one hour class. First one hour class is on the driving range and in the short game area at the north end of the driving range at Encinitas Ranch Golf Course and the second hour is on the golf course (6 player class size limit). Classes are available to Level 1, 2 or 3 players.
